Stanbic Uganda Cup Semifinal1: Vipers Spit Venoms as Police Helplessly Bow Out
Vipers Sports Club Officially secured their place in the 2021 Stanbic Uganda Cup edition after beating Police FC 2-0 in the first Semifinal match honored at FUFA Technical Center Njeru on Tuesday afternoon.
Ceaser Manzoki has been the day’s hero after scoring a brace that confirmed Vipers’ place on the final Day.
In the Pre-Match press conference at FUFA House Mengo on Monday, Abdallah Mubiru, The Cops’ tactician revealed that his boys had only five days of training, this was manifested in the first 20 minutes of the game, when the Police defender recklessly lost possession to Manzoki at the edge of the box and the forward went on to slot the ball at the near post to give Vipers an early lead.
The Venoms who last won the Uganda Cup in 2016, they enjoyed the first stanza, and created a number of chances, only injured Ikara was the standing block in their scoring opportunities.
In second stanza, the Congolese national, Ceaser Manzoki came back in the 52nd minute to slot in the second for Vipers.
