Sports: CHAN Magnificent Performance Wins Kyeyune Real Star Jan Award
The magnificent performance he displayed in the ongoing Africa Nations Championship (CHAN), Saidi Kyeyune is still reaping.
The Uganda Cranes and Uganda Revenue Authority FC midfield maestro, Said Kyeyune named the best performer in the month of January and walked away with the Fortebet Real Star Monthly award.
At the event held on Tuesday 02nd 2021 at Route256 Lugogo, Kyeyune who scored two goals for Uganda Cranes against Togo and Morocco, announced as the winner after beating his counterparts, in Buddu’s custodian, Yawe Farouk and Masaza cup current top scorer, Bbaale Charles from Gomba Lions.
Kyeyune Saidi did not appear in person at the event since he is still in process of transferring to his new home in Sudan, the URA FC CEO, Henry Mayeku represented him to collect the award.
Mayeku applauded Kyeyune for being a disciplined player for the ten years they have spent with him at the Club, he thanked him for great performance he (Kyeyune) displayed in the past two seasons at the Club.

“Said is a good player, very disciplined, we have been with him at least for ten years, he has been consistent for the last two seasons, no wonder, he has gotten a deal outside.” Mayeku giving his mini speech about Kyeyune.
“Of course, it wasn’t all about him alone but also the coaches who have done tremendous job in him and the Club as well.
As a club we are planning on how we live without him and wish him the best.”
Kyeyune joined Sudanese Premier giants El Merreikh.
Mayeko also thanked the sponsors in Jude Color Solutions and Fortebet who still stand tall in motivating talents in the country.
Due to in activeness of many sports disciplines, the month of January had only two categories, that is football and golf.
Godfrey Nsubuga from Mehta golf club beat his teammate, Rogers Eyoyo and Entebbe club’s Elton Thembo on the accolade of the January best golfer.

“This is my first time winning an award, though have been winning tournaments, I had a dream of player at the National team to which I have achieved.
Now this award has motivated me the more, proving that I can even reaching at the level of those I am admiring, like Tiger Woods.” Nsubuga spoke to media after receiving his accolade and cash prize.
