“I have been knocking on Douglas door for a while, the conversation has been on since October last year, and here we are. It’s a very hard task to go in your pocket to finance a basketball team. Some of what we get, we shall try to make your job easier, using this money. So as clubs, we request you to build a fan base, it will help us all, it’s a win win situation. ” Says Marcus Kwikiriza, FUBA CEO.

The FUBA VP, Hudson Ssegamwenge thanked Castle Lite for joining the game.

“It’s a great milestone on behalf of the Federation and NBL, to have reached this level of basketball, we thank our sponsors who are coming on board. NBL officially started in 1995, started with six clubs and among the six only one still standing, the DMark Power.

That league never had any sponsor, it was the Managers working on their welfare which is one of the hardest part in basketball, so having brands like Castle lite joining us is something we cant take for granted” Hudson Ssegamwenge.
