The She Cranes defender, Shaffie Nalwanja under went a successful knee operation at CorSU hospital Entebbe.
The operation was done yesterday evening and it came out as a success and according to doctors, her recovery will not take so long if she falls all the instructions given to her.
Nalwanja gotten a knee injury while on national duty few years back, she never gotten a proper attention from the national team doctors by then and when she consulted more, she was asked either to go for surgery or to have a rehabilitation but she opted for the latter.

One of the swift and talented netball players in the country featured in Commonwealth Games 2022 and Netball world cup 2023 with that injury.
However, before playing those tournaments especially the 2023 Netball world cup, Nalwanja was in rehabilitation and only played one game in the 2022/23 Netball Super League season.
While Hon. Babirye Kityo Sarah was still in control of Uganda Netball Federation, she lobbed for Nalwanja to have financers of her rehabilitation and surgery. Her move was a success and she secured MTN Uganda who settled the bills of 10.8m shillings.
The recovery is likely to take between six months and a year before Nalwanja returns to Netball.
