Pepsi UFL: UMU Sends University of Kisubi in Kabale’s League of Six-Up

The two time Pepsi University Football League champions, Uganda Martyrs University made a total dismantle of University of Kisubi at own court yard in Entebbe.
The 2017 winning University humiliated, UNIK with a 6-0 over deserving victory on Sunday at University of Kisubi grounds.
Odoi Valentino who missed the opening fixture appeared on the score sheet twice, Sunny Kaija, Chieng Par Jiek,Obedgui Ronald a d Lagu Richard were the other names that appeared on the sheet.
In the game that started on a high tempo, saw Sanny Kaija handing the visitors an early lead in the 8th minute, the pacey forward beat off Kisubi’s custodian, Kibukuna Julius who had come out of his box to clear the ball though Sanny was too fast to hit the ball first in an empty net.
Odoi Valentino doubled the lead for the visitors in the 19th minute before Chieng Par Jiek scoring his first goal for his new home in the 39th minute.
The first stanza ended 3-0 in favor of the visitors.
In second stanza, the hosts tried to play good football in a way of limiting damage but that worked until the 64th minute when Odoi Valentino sealed his brace with a thunderbolt strike.
If it were boxing, the mosquito weight UNIK totally failed to tame the high flying heavy weight Martyrs but only to surrender and give what they could.
Substitute, Obedgui Ronald made it five for the visitors in the 73rd minute before another substitute, Lagu Richard sealed the day with a simple strike in the 87th minute.
Uganda Martyrs continued with their perfect run, moving to six points in two games, making them top group E.
This has been the second loss for Kisubi, lost their opener 2-1 against IUEA on road. They have come the second side to swallow six in less than a week, Kabale first did it against St Lawrence at Crown City in Kavule.
The league will have a rest on Monday and then resume on Tuesday when Kampala International University will be hosting Gulu University.
