Kayunga DFA: Nazigo, Kayunga United Face Off In District League Opener

After weeks of battling on social media on who takes day as Kayunga District Football Association 4th Division kicks off, the wait is no more as the long awaited for has come.

Saturday 19th February 2022 is the day and the two elephants are Kayunga United Football club who visits Nazigo football club at Farmers Arena Nazigo R/C Playground with the game kicking off at exactly 4PM.

To the fact that Football professionally organized by Parent governing body, FUFA was put on halt for Three (3) years, every corner of the District is hyped by the hunger to watch soccer back at playgrounds handled by professional referees all teams will be yearning to bag three points and start the journey of promotion to next level.

All football lovers would like to see what is being put on table by the new administration which was ushered in office last year as they (administrators) are willing to show maturity.

Kayunga District is one of the District in Buganda Region and Uganda at large with no football club playing in upper leagues (3rd, 2nd and 1st division) and this calls for serious organization from leaders, supporters and sports investors too.

Kayunga United football club is under the guidance of new kid on the block, Isma Kawawulo with a number of youth football players.

A head of the kick off of the 2021/22 football season, kayunga District has registered Nine (9) teams to compete in the league.

Kayunga United Football club, Nazigo Football club, Ssezibwa Bukamba, Ndeeba FC, Bus Park Kirindi, Bbaale United FC, Kawoomya, Busaana FC and Kayunga Light College FC/Rays of Grace are the teams eligible to play in the league.
