FWSL: You’re Still Amateur in This Game, Sharon Nadunga Double Proves Kampala Queens Not Ready to Chill with ‘The Big Girls’
Sharon Nadunga was on target twice as Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC beat Kampala Queens 2-0 to extend it’s dominance against the football Queens in the FUFA Women’s Super League.
The Match day one encounter between the two sides in the new season was held at IUIU Kabojja Campus playground on Wednesday afternoon.
Like a champion, the Valley Warriors’ started with that aggressiveness to of taking the ball forward and to be the controller of the game despite the fact that they were on road.
Allen Nassazi first missed a golden chance to score when she converted the cross from Halima Kampi over the bar.
However, the well constructed move from the middle of the park in the 35th minute, was completed with a beautiful press from Sharon Nadunga to give the visitors a lead.
In this move before the ball entered the net, Kawempe had at least seven complete passes before Shakira Nyinagahirwa with a killer pass released Sharon Nadunga who was already in a good position score.
Kampala Queens wanted to square the matters immediately but Resty Nanziri’s effort was saved for a corner by Juliet Adeke, Kawempe’s custodian.
In the second stanza, Hamza Lutalo’s side tried to engage fully into the game but Kawempe’s defense of Aisha Nantongo, Asia Nakibuuka, Stella Musibika and Samalie Nakacwa with a cover of Rhoda Nanziri in deep six, gave Kampala Queens limited opportunities to come closure to Adeke.
Ten minutes into the second half, Sharon Nadunga the owner of the day completed her brace with a far post strike, thanks to Allen Nassazi assist.
Shakira Nyinagahirwa, Rhonda Nanziri gave limited chances for Kampala Queens new signing Shamirah Nalugya, returnee Zaina Namuleme to enjoy the ball possession at their own courtyard.

This has been the second consecutive time Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC beating Kampala Queens without conceding any goal.
Sharon Nadunga after scoring the brace, she alerted the media that she is looking at taking the top scorers’ gong and help the team compete since she is the only experienced forward at the team.
“My coaches put trust in me, and I promised that I will not disappoint them, I am happy that I scored and we won the game, we expect to win more since we work as a team……
“I want to be the top scorer this season and I will work for it, I am happy that now I top the scorers’ log and I want to keep it. “ Said Sharon Nadunga.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC lost three crucial players, in Margret Kunihira, Juliet Nalukenge and Shamirah Nalugya.
Hamza Lutalo, admitted that he is new in women football but he will keep studying it.
“Some of my players were on national team, they came back late, so it’s a beat costed us….”, “Have just come into Women football, a lot I am still learning but I came to add my knowledge in the game.”
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC now sit second on the log and they will be visiting She Corporates on Sunday while Kampala Queens will be on road against Tooro Queens.
