The 2024 Fresh Dairy Games have been officially opened by the Luweero district chairperson and the ceremony has been held on Monday at Ndejje University Arena.
The tournament that attracted at least 4500 participants kicked off on Saturday but today the Luweero district chairperson Erastus Kibirango, who has been the guest of honor has opened it officially.

“I am happy with the law you have brought (Sports Law), it will help in eliminating the none students from the schools, as parents we have been fearing those old people who join schools during the time of sports.” Says LCV chairperson person, Erastus Kibirango before adding.
“About the land the president has talked about, I believe we shall be in touch with the Church and we see if we can get land because the church is the biggest land lord in Luweero but it’s great idea it can add value to our district.” Kibirango responded to USSSA president request.
“I was invited to open the event officially, I take the mandate to declare this sports event open.” Said Luweero District Chairperson Erastus Kibirango.
The USSSA president, Justus Mugisha thanked Ndejje SS and University for hosting the games and asked the LCV chairperson to lob land for the Association because they have numbers.

“Our host head teacher, this is the best gift we can give you as you retire in the next six days from the good work you have been doing for the school.
Success without a good successor is the biggest failure.” he quoted
“As USSSA, we believe in mass sport not only at school level but also at a higher level.
We are the champions of FEASSSA games where we had over 1000 students and won most medals.
And as I speak now there are 3 different schools representing Uganda at the ISF Schools Volleyball Championship in Belgrade,Serbia and many other schools will represent at upcoming tournaments later this year in Nairobi,Kenya,Dalian and Macau, China as well will keep you posted”
“I thank the LCV chairperson, Luweero district for helping us to see that this tournament is here, but we’re still here to work with you, you can even give us land in Luweero because we have numbers.” Justus Mugisha, USSSA President added.
The Ministry of Education and Sports representative Dr. Canon Duncans Mugumya commented much on the use of none bona-fide students in games.

“We knew that there are good facilities in Ndejje that’s why we chose it because we were well assured that it will associate well and make the games colourful. We also echo out that those who are not participating in sports are doing wrong because it is constitutional made to be in sports.
All those using non bona fide players are wrong, We are going to arrest the imposters in school sports because banning them from schools is not enough especially the head teachers and games teachers will be arrested because we’re now supported by the law.” Says Physical education commissioner.
