Fortebet Real Star Monthly Awards: September Bows To Bunyaga Like Kampala University Did in UFL

The St Lawrence University and Buddu Ssaza lethal striker, Bruno Bunyaga voted the best player of the month of September in football category.

To win the September Fortebet Real Stars Monthly Award in football category, Bunyaga beat his teammate at St Lawrence University Blanchar Mulamba and Abrose Kigozi.

“I am glad that it’s me the best of September, I thank the sponsors of this award, Fortebet, Canan Investments and Jude Colour Solutions, the award is going to motivate me more to help my two teams on semifinals, that is Buddu in Masaza and St Lawrence in University League. As a player, my target this year is to win two trophies.” Said goal poacher, Bruno Bunyaga after receiving his maiden award from Real Stars Sports Agency.

To win the gong, Bunyaga scored six goals in the month of September, three at Buddu and three at St Lawrence, and that of St Lawrence was a hat trick when the Kavule based University was eliminating two time league champions Kampala University on a 5-1 goal aggregate for the former to propel to semifinals.

At the awarding ceremony held on Tuesday 04th, October, 2022 at Route256 Restaurant Lugogo, Victoria University Vice Chancellor, Mr. Lawrence Muganga was the guest of honor and he promised to be part of the project that is empowering Youths, the outspoken VC also financed the four winners with One million shillings token.

On the day, four awards were given out and Brendah Ekone from JKL Dolphins defended her award in basketball, she the same player who won the gong for the month of August.

Riazat Ali Shah won that of Cricket, and for athletics went to Jacob Kiplimo.
