Fortbet Real Stars Monthly Awards: Queen of the Cue, Rashida Mutesi Wins January Accolade
The Queen of the Cue Rashida Mutesi beat her elder sister, Rukia Nayiga on the gong of the best player of the month of January.
The event is organized by Real Stars Sports Agency with the support from Fortebet Uganda,main sponsor and Jude Color Solutions.
The reigning pool Queen beat her elder sister Rukia Nayiga and Ibrahim Ssejjemba on the gong, since she won the National Ladies Pool League title with Mukono Ladies and she is the only player who had break to the finish in the month of January, though she has registered three of them in the league.
The seed one in the discipline of Pool in Uganda, Rashida Mutesi received her player of the month of January on Tuesday 07th February at Route256 Restaurant Lugogo.
After receiving her accolade coupled with a brown envelope, Mutesi thanked the organizers for thinking about Pool because before they have been playing but without the hope of winning anything outs Pool.
“I am grateful that I won this award, before we were playing but at the end of the day we received nothing like an award even if you win everything, but I think this award will help to motivate us to do more since we shall be expecting something at the end of the month.” Said Uganda’s seed one
Rashida has not lost any individual match since 2017, She is number one in Uganda and second on continent.
Prior to win the January accolade, Rashida won the league as top scorer with Mukono Ladies.
The month of January had five categories that were competed for and Lutaaya Ronald of Itanda Kayaker, who won the just concluded Waterfall T20 Championship, been crowned the best of the month of January in Cricket while Henry Nsekuye of Makerere Impis beat Ivan Magomu of Black Pirates and Aaron Ofoyrwoth of Platinum Credit Heathens on the rugby accolade.
Shadir Musa Bwogi won the January gong, humbling Yusuf Babu and Abdul Aziz Ssebulime while Waleed Omar won tht of Motorcross.
