FEASSA Games 2024: Dark Monday for Amus College as Kitende starts Perfect

The co-hosts of the 2024 Federation of East Africa Schools Sports Association championship, Amus College School had unpleasant day two in all disciplines the school is featuring.
On Monday the school tested no win in the three disciplines it took part and the Kenyans were the day’s tormentors for the hosts.
The school first faced a 2-0 loss against Butere Girls School from Kenya in Girls Football and Joy Angela Valencia scored twice in that game for Amus to lose at home soil.
In Boy’s basketball, they tried to match the level of the Kenyans but Agoro Sare High School beat them with a difference of two baskets, in an epic encounter that ended 54-56.
Late in the day, the fans thought that the boys in football will console them but they have only secured a point again against a Kenyan school in Musingu Secondary School. The final football match of the day ended in a two all score line.
However, their counterparts, St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende had a perfect start in all disciplines they have featured on Monday.
Kitende in boys football, they secured a 2-0 victory against Highway SS, Kisiriko Denis and Santos Agok were on target for Male Daniel boys. It was a sweet revenge for the Entebbe Road school because they once lost against the same school at semifinal level while in Arusha Tanzania.
“We lost to them in Arua at the semi final stage, they are a strong team, we studied them well, they never changed the game plan, so we had to press them hard in their half such that they make mistakes, it worked for us but they are really a strong team and it was a tough game. ” Said Male Daniel after the midmorning fixture at Amus College School Artificial Turf.
Kitende also won in girls basketball (5×5) beating Tanzania’s side Orkeeswa 58-43 before registering a landslide win of 61-19 against Kenya’s Andersen in Netball.
The action shall continue tomorrow (Tuesday) with a number of enticing fixtures in all disciplines.
