Fatal Accident on Kampala-Gulu Highway, At Least Five Perished

A fatal accident happened on Kampala-Gulu highway on Thursday, 11, 2021 and at least five people are expected to have perished.

The accident occurred at Kyamukondwa village, Kakooge sub County, Nakasongola district and according to reports, at least five people lost their lives and many went with serious injuries when a trailer registration number UAQ 130C carrying beer heading to Upcountry collided with a Zawadi company bus registration number UBE 379Q.

According to eye witnesses, the bus driver was overspending and suddenly he wanted to dodge the boda boda and on his turn, face to face collided with the trailer.

The eye witnesses continue to report that, among the five confirmed deaths, include the two drivers.

The bodies of the deceased and the injured were taken to Kakooge hospital.

This is not the first time accident is occurring from that location in a space of two weeks and according to reports, over five different accidents have occurred and yesterday two people who were on boda boda were knocked dead at Kigoogwa.

The residents put the blame on overspending and reckless driving.
