Bumper 11-Game Line Up As Buganda Regional League Kicks Off
Excitement is building ahead of the start of the third (3rd) division league in the Buganda Region, which kicks off this Wednesday, 26th October 2022, with a mouthwatering eleven (11) fixtures on the first matchday.
All the twelve teams in the Ssezibwa group will be involved in action, hence six (6) matches in the group.
Last season’s runners-up in Ssezibwa group, Seeta United FC, will play host to Simba FC at St Paul Mukasa Primary School, Bajjo.
New entrants in the group, Sparks Soccer Club and Wobulenzi United FC, will both play in front of their home supporters. Sparks will host Synergy FC at Kirondo while Young Simba FC will pay a visit to Katikamu Vet Playground to play Wobulenzi.

In Buikwe, Buikwe Red Stars FC will take on Free Stars Football club at Buikwe Stadium, while Lugazi Nabugabo United FC will take on Manyangwa FC at St Andrews, Lugazi.
Kira United FC will be at home in Kira taking on Lugazi Municipal FC.

In the Katonga group, the ‘usual’ favorites, who double as last season’s finalists, Kajjansi United FC, will play host to Kakiri Town Council FC at Uganda Clays, Kajjansi playground.
Masaka City Sports Club are set to pay a visit to Rakai against new boys, Lwanda Five Stars FC, at Lwanda playground.
Kiyinda Boys FC, under the tutelage of Ddungu Simon aka Ddunga, will host Lukaya Town Council FC at Ssaza Grounds in Mityana.
Buwambo United FC are set to face off with Entebbe FC at Buwambo playground.
Elsewhere, Kiboga United Sports Club will take on Kiwanga United FC at Kiboga Ssaza ground.
The encounter between new comers, Super Eagles Lugongwe FC, and Standard High School Zzana FC will not be played due to the ongoing lockdown in Mubende over the outbreak of Ebola.

To set the standards, Buganda Region has put up restrictions to be followed in addition to the already existing FIFA, CAF and FUFA rules.
A team will be considered late after 3:00pm (15:00 hours), and this will culminate into a fine of fifty thousand Uganda shillings (50,000/=) only, which is payable to Buganda Region Football Associations (BRFA) Competitions Committee through the Referee Assessor before the match kicks off.
No match shall kick off after 4:45pm (16:45 hours).
The club head coach and the club security & safety officer must present their practicing license for inspection on the matchday.
A minimum of five (5) branded and easily identifiable home team’s safety & security officers, with at least one of them being licensed, must be physically present at the ground for a match to kick off.
Four teams will be relegated at the end of the season, that is, two (2) from each group.
Furthermore, the number of teams to be relegated to the fourth (4th) division might be increased depending on the number of teams for BRFA that will have been relegated at the end of the 2022/23 FUFA Big League season.
