Buganda Netball: Heritage, Nakirebe Book a Meeting as Nabagereka Cup Reach Semis

The 2022 edition of Buganda Schools sports activities commenced early this month with a number sports disciplines at different venues.

Blessed Sacrament Secondary School Kimaanya was selected to host the Under 14 and 16 Nabagereka Cup that encompasses only the primary schools.

The group stage and quarter final matches were held on Sunday, 12th, June 2022.

Sixteen schools took part in the 2022 edition of Nabagereka Cup, six were for U14 while ten for Under sixteen.

Defending champions U14, St Gemma Primary School from Kyotera booked a meeting with Bulo Primary school at semifinal level while Kabaale primary from Kooki are to face off against Arch Bishop primary school, Nakirebe.

The Under sixteen teams also reached at semifinals, St James from Nkumba while play host, Togo while Heritage will play against Arch Bishop Primary School Nakirebe.

To reach this level, St James beat St Gemma 15-11 at quarter final level as Togo outsmart Bulo Junior following a 15-11 final score. The Masaka City giants, Heritage beat Rays of Grace by 15-12 while Nakitebe hammered Kirimya by 23-08.

Under 14 teams were pitted in two groups of three, while under 16 category that had ten teams and they were pitted in three groups of three and four.

Under 16:

Group A

Rays of Grace, St James Nkumba, St Gemma.

Group B

Togo, Heritage, Jori Mityana

Group C

Arch Bishop Nakitebe, Muto, Bulo, Kirimya.

Under 14:

Group A

St Gemma, Gombe Junior, Kabaale kooki.

Group B:

Arch Bishop Nakitebe, Bulo Primary school, Uyefa Hill primary School. 

The semifinals and finals will be honored on 22nd July 2022 at a venue yet to be announced.
