In any pandemic or insecurities, always the female sex is more affected, no doubt even in this covid19 era, the girl child has suffered the more and currently their bright futures they have been dreaming of is in balance.
The sectors that were heavily affected by the Pandemic is the Sports sector, since the first lockdown, the game has been not fully active and they have been earning nothing which put them in a vulnerable state.

Basing on that background, the Gugudde TV and Voice of Bugerere Sports Journalist, came out with an Initiative that is targeting over 100 young football players to be helped.

” Well, since the president imposed total lockdown in the country and sports was stopped. Football is part of the sport but footballers are really struggling, and when it comes to young girls and boys who live in slum areas its worse.” Geoffrey Mugabi Junior stated before adding.
“I met Coach Mukiibi Isma of Kampala Queens, and we discussed the matter. We came up with an idea of looking for support to help the young girls and boys to have something to eat.” He added.
Mugabi and Coach Mukiibi Isma came up with a campaign dubbed “Yamba Omuto” (Help the young one) and they target to give food, sanitary pads to girls and they call upon the Sports franternity and all good heart Ugandans to support them in this initiative.
” We are going to help children who are over 80 by donating food and sanitary pads to young girls so we call upon sports fraternity and other Ugandans to join hands to help these girls and boys”
According to Mugabi, they expect to donate these items on Thursday 22-07-2021 at Kawempe.
