FUFA Women’s Super League: Aluka Grace With a Brace As Olila Beat Isra
Former Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC defender, turned a forward bagged a brace as Olila Women Football Club beat Isra Soccer Academy WFC 3-0 in the final game of the day at FUFA Technical Center Njeru.
Aluka’s goals came in the 13th and 89th minutes of the game.
A foul committed on her by Shanita Nalubwama in the area, granted Olila a penalty opportunity which was calmly converted by Grace Aluka in the 13th minute.
Aarakit Dorcus who got her first full minutes on the pitch this season doubled the Soroti based side’s lead in the 26th to call for a 2-0 half time advantage for Olila.
Grace Aluka sealed it with a nice header, thanks to Siporosa Amoding well laid cross from right flank.
Olila registered their first win of the tournament that moved them to second position with four points in three games.
Isra Soccer Academy WFC lost their second consecutive game, conceding 8 goals but their tactician, Trevor Kavuma remains Unmoved.
He is happy with the performance of his girls.
“First of all I am happy with the performance of my girls, today we played a very different game, we made the pitch dirty with the ball, my girls as younger as they are, they distributed the ball well.
As an Academy, these girls are very younger but put up a strong challenge, remember we are missing over eight players who are starters in our team. Am sending message to our next opponents that they will feel our presence.” Trevor Kavuma said after the game.
In the earlier fixture, Lady Doves FC beat UCU Lady Cardinals 2-1, Fazila Ikwaput going on target twice while Hasifa Nassuna scored the only goal for Cardinals.
Thursday there will be no action, it’s a resting day and on Friday, UCU will be playing against Isra in the morning while Lady Doves FC and She Corporate will lock horns in the afternoon.
