FUFA Women’s Super League: Aturo, Nankya Errors Cost Cardinals as Ikwaput go for a Double
UCU Lady Cardinals defense recklessly gave away a win to Lady Doves FC in the morning encounter held at Njeru Technical Center.
Free scoring Fazila Ikwaput went on target twice as Lady Doves FC stretch it’s lead on top of table with a 2-1 victory in their third consecutive tournament game against UCU Lady Cardinals.
UCU Lady Cardinals went up in the 20th minute of the game, thanks to Hasifa Nassuna well converted penalty, Doves was punished after a foul on Harriet Muwugumya in the area.
Lady Doves FC never lost hope, they kept on tracking until Aturo Ruth and her defender, Shadia Nankya failed to communicate for speed merchant Fazila Ikwaput punished them in the 35th minute to level the matters.
UCU Lady Cardinals tried to contain the game and created a number of chance which would have been converted but Sandra Kisakye was not clinical enough.

“When we scored, we gained much confidence, moved off coaches’ instructions and that costed us, concerned mistake goals and we failed to convert ours, but now that is history we are going back on drawing board with our coaches to see that we win our remaining games because we want to qualify.”
Lady Doves FC now top the table with a margin of four points and a win in their last game on Friday against She Corporate FC.
UCU Lady Cardinals lost their first game, have two in hand, have to play against Olila WFC and Isra Soccer Academy WFC.
