FUFA Women’s Super League: Fauzia Najjemba on Target Twice As Kampala takes over Queens’ Battle

Fauzia Najjemba scored a brace while Kampala Queens beat Tooro Queens 2-1 to brighten their qualification future.

Her goals came in both halves of the epic encounter honored at FUFA Technical Center Njeru, on Friday morning.

Tooro Queens first got a lead after 23 minutes of the game but with five minutes to half time break, Akoi Anna, the match’s center referee awarded a penalty seemed not to be clear to Kampala Queens and Fauzia Najjemba calmly converted it in the back of the net.

Now Kampala Queens moved to six points in three games played and Tooro Queens remained at three points with a game in hand.

Rogers Ayesiga, Tooro Queens tactician wasn’t happy with the performance of the center referee.

“It’s a hard result for us , as Tooro Queens because we were in a must win situation, but whatever is happening on field of play is unacceptable. If we want to develop the women’s game we need to change.

But there is still chance for Tooro Queens to qualify, we still have another game to go for, but it’s not in our hands now, we have to depend on other teams’ results.” Ayesiga Rogers.

Tooro Queens will be closing the group with a game against Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC on Saturday while Kampala Queens will be facing off with Makerere University WFC on the same date.
