Legacy Corporate Games Uganda Officially Launched

Uganda’s corporate landscape has taken a significant step toward promoting workplace wellness and employee engagement with the official launch of the Legacy Corporate Games Uganda, unveiled today at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

The launch, attended by corporate leaders, media representatives, and key stakeholders, marks the introduction of a national platform designed to unite organizations across sectors through structured sporting competition and wellness-focused initiatives.

Speaking at the event, Chairperson Thomas Bamuteze described the initiative as a timely intervention set to transform workplace culture across Uganda’s business community.

“The Legacy Corporate Games create a platform where organizations invest in their people, strengthen teamwork, and build meaningful connections across industries. This initiative represents a new chapter for corporate engagement in Uganda,” Bamuteze said.

The Games aim to position corporate sport not merely as recreation, but as a strategic driver of employee wellbeing, organizational performance, and brand visibility. Participating companies will compete in professionally managed sporting disciplines while simultaneously cultivating team cohesion and cross-industry relationships.

Participation is open to companies and institutions across sectors including finance, telecommunications, manufacturing, hospitality, technology, and public institutions.

Organizers say the Games promise a range of benefits for participating organizations, from enhanced employee wellness and stronger internal collaboration, to cross-sector networking and increased corporate visibility. Competitions will be managed at professional standards, with a clearly outlined calendar for the inaugural season, registration process, and partnership opportunities announced during the launch.

With growing attention on employee health and team dynamics in modern workplaces, the Legacy Corporate Games Uganda aims to become the country’s flagship corporate sports movement, proving that in today’s corporate world, the boardroom now shares space with the playing field.
