Mukono Magic: UCU Counting Down to Uganda’s Biggest Campus Games

Mukono, Uganda – Uganda Christian University (UCU) is set to take the spotlight once again as it prepares to host the 20th Edition of the Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) Games, scheduled for 18th to 23rd December 2025.
The biennial sporting spectacle, which unites institutions across Uganda, is expected to attract over 30 universities and more than 2,000 athletes battling it out in a wide range of disciplines.
This year’s edition comes with a fresh twist as new sports like disc golf and pool table join the competition, adding excitement to the already packed lineup.
UCU Promises World-Class Experience
According to Kisenyi Vincent, a key member of the Organizing Committee, preparations are almost complete:
“We are already 95% ready, and by December our facilities will be 100% set to accommodate all the sporting disciplines. Today we are renovating a number of facilities so that we give the AUUS Games a true state-of-the-art feel.”
UCU, which also successfully hosted the 2023 edition, is determined to deliver a bigger and better experience, showcasing talent, teamwork, and innovation at the heart of university sports.
Countdown to Uganda’s Biggest Campus Games
With renovations nearing completion and anticipation growing, the countdown is officially on. The AUUS Games 2025 promise to be a festival of skill, energy, and competition, cementing UCU’s place as a hub of sports excellence.
Ndejje University is the 2023 overall winner of the games with UCU aiming to dethrone the University games dictator.
