We are Strictly Monitoring You, ‘Museveni Tajakulayila’ posters alert Police, Tighten the Security

Edward Ochom the police operations director has requested all security forces to be highly alert over alleged planned protests following the posters that say Museveni won’t swear in May as the president of Uganda.
Ochom urged all regional police commanders,District Police Commanders and other respective security agencies to be alert starting today, Tuesday to stop opposition political parties supporters’ plans of protesting against president Museveni’s forthcoming swearing set for May 2021.
“A lot of intelligence reports indicate that some NUP members of opposition are planning to massively riot. Therefore all RPCs, DPCs with immediate effect are instructed to mobilise and be on standby and deployments should be made around all black spots.” Said Ochom in his message on Monday.
He added that curfew time should be strongly respected and adhered to.
According to Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire on Monday said police will make heavy deployment to prevent the protests.
“We have deployed strategically to prevent illegal acts .we want to warn organizers of the demonstrations to stop such acts because the police will not hesitate arresting and charging them in courts of laws”. He said.
