UPSSA Ball Games 2025: U12 Tittle Holders Kayunga Sail To Semi Finals

The U12 Boys football defending champions, Kayunga District moved a step closer to retaining their crown at the ongoing Uganda Primary Schools Sports Association Ball games boys football after defeating Mubende 2-0 in a quarter final encounter in Yumbe district.

Pius Mwanga netted a brace to guide his side in Kayunga District local government  into the last four past Mubende district local government.

Earlier on, Kayunga District eliminated Agago District in a round of thirty-two (32) by 1-0 courtesy of Pius Mwanga before ejecting Arua in a round of sixteen (16) by 2-0. Pius Mwanga and Tom Opulima scored a goal each.

What next?
With victory, Kayunga District advances to semi finals, where they will face Butambala District on Tuesday morning.

Elsewhere, hosts Yumbe District will face off with Mpigi in another semi-finals with all games at Geya playground

Kayunga District U12 is under guidance of Kanjuki Junior School director, Isa Basomesa Ntale and the coaching staff and moving in the same step like they did last year when they made history to win Kayunga district national maiden trophy in Soroti.
