CHAN 2024: ‘We Know you’re wise but we’re Brighter’, Over 3000 Fans Denied Access to Namboole due to Fake Tickets

More than 3000 football fans were denied entrance to Mandela National Stadium, Namboole due to fake and duplicated tickets.
While addressing media on Thursday at the Media center in Kampala, the communications head at the Local Organizing Committee Dr. Denis Mugimba has cautioned football fans that are going for CHAN matches to be mindful about the purchasing criteria of the tickets to avoid falling into the traps of fraud stars.

He has also reminded the public to avoid physical tickets as they were abandoned by CAF resulting from the first experience when 4000 tickets allocated to FUFA were doubled in pricing and in some cases an ordinary ticked was bought at the same rate of the VVIP of 50.000.
Mugimba has also called upon Ugandans to fill up Namboole tomorrow even though it will be a no show for Uganda Cranes who will be back in action for their last game on Monday.
“I urge you to fill up Namboole and cheer up our visitors as it has been when the cranes is playing” said Mugimba.
It should also be noted that Uganda among the hosting countries is the only one that hasn’t been slapped with CAF fines unlike Kenya and Tanzania. It’s from this point that Mugimba asked Ugandans to maintain the discipline.
“Sofar we are still in good books with CAF as we haven’t been slapped with any fines unlike Kenya and Tanzania, so please let’s continue with that spirit.” Mugimba continued.
