Fresh Dairy Games 2024: Overrated Bukedea Dumped Out, Kawempe, Martyrs to Meet at Quarter as Noa Finds Lightweight Opponent

The round of sixteen of the Fresh Dairy Games 2024, girls football climaxed today, Wednesday and overrated Teso region representative, Bukedea Comprehensive dumped out by the defending champions, Amus College.
In the game honored at Nandere playground, Amus College beat immediate rivals, Bukedea Comprehensive 1-0 to continue with their journey of defending the title they won last year.
The win made them to meet Gulu based side, Sacred Heart who eliminated, Moyo Star SS via spot kicks, 5-4 following a one all draws in normal time, the game was played at Ndejje SS.
Kawempe Muslim SS fought tooth and nail to beat Masaka SS 2-1 at round of 16, the game played at Ndejje University, the Ayub Khalifah coached side got her goals through Hadija Babirye and Agnes Nabukenya and Masaka’s consolation came from Shakira Nantumbwe who converted a penalty for the side.
The win fixed Kawempe Muslim a match between them and their fellow Kampala region representative and the champions of the region, Uganda Martyrs High School. Martyrs beat Kayindu SS 4-1 at the round of 16 and the mid morning fixture was honored at Bombo UMEA ground.
The title favorites, St Noa Girls School thumped Busoga region representative, Bunya SS 4-0 at Ndejje University Arena, Angel Gervan first found the back of the net before the break, in second half, Sylvia Kabene scored to extend her goal tally to 19 and Kamiyat Naigaga had a brace on the day.
The Jimmy Kintu girls shall meet Boni Consilii Girls SS at quarter final, the latter beat Jinja Progressive 1-0 in the last round of 16 fixture honored at Bombo UMEA.
