betPawa Futsal Super League: Mengo, Kisugu Settle for a point each as Luzira,Park Continue with Perfect Form
The betPawa Futsal Super League this season action for match week three started yesterday with three epic fixtures.
The closing fixture of the night at Old Kampala Sports Arena was between Mengo City and Kisugu FC, the two sides registered the one all draw and it was the first this season.
Luzira and Park FC maintained their unbeaten streaks in the 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League season with decisive victories on Thursday night.
In the Luzira game, Edmond Bithum’s four goals led to an 8-2 triumph over Kampala Junior Team Futsal Club (KJT FC). Vicente Abigaba (2), Musa Ssenonga, and Damien Nakalema also contributed to Luzira’s dominant performance. Reagan Kimbugwe and Joel Kizza scored the two goals for KJT, marking their first loss of the season.
Futbol Club Luzira continued to be a deadly side especially in second stanza of each game they played this season, the first half ended in a two all squared, but the last stanza, Luzira was indomitable and scored six goals, allowing no chance to KJT to score any.

Meanwhile, Park FC delivered a stellar performance, securing a five-star victory against Edgars Youth Programme. Abasi Muluya scored thrice, while Abura Michael and Shafik Mulangira each added one to the tally. Despite their dominance, Park could have scored even more if not for missed opportunities.

In the last match of the day, Mengo City and Kisugu FC played to a 1-1 draw, with Hanad Sayid scoring for Mengo and Timothy Oyamot for Kisugu. This result marked the first points of the season for both teams, following losses in their opening two games.

The betPawa Futsal Super League action continues on Friday at Old Kampala Futsal Arena, featuring unbeaten teams Lubaga Grameen and Kisenyi FC facing off. Additionally, Aidenal and Kawempe will take on Nansana ASKA and Kabowa Dream Team respectively in the other matchday three fixtures
