2023 USSSA NPP Qualifiers: Kayunga District Giants Namagabi SS, St Kalemba Face Off As Round Two Clocks

Two Kayunga District giant Schools, St Mathias Kalemba Secondary School and Namagabi Secondary School will rock horns as Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Post Primaries Boys Football enters round two in Kayunga District.

The battle will be at Bishop Brown playground, Kayunga on Sunday 19th, March 2023 as Kayunga A zone hosts Nazigo Zone in round Two of Kayunga District Post primaries qualifiers.

St Mathias Kalemba is joined by Nazigo Town Secondary School who qualified as the second School from the Nazigo zone.

In zone qualifiers, St Mathias Kalemba SS run riot and defeated his opponents, Suuka Islamic School by 6-0 scored Kasango Zaidu with a hattrick, Ashiraf Ochen, Jovan Kavuma and Erias Kayima each with a goal.

They also thumped BLK Muwonge by 6-1 scored by Enoce Kusola with a hattrick, Erias Kayima, Martin Lubanga and David Kaija. John Bosco Kemba scored a cancellation for BLK Muwonge. 

Namagabi Secondary School also joined by Namagabi High School

In first round, Namagabi Secondary School thrashed Uganda Martyrs Secondary School Kayunga 6-0 scored by Wasswa Hassan 4, Veron Wamboga and Mugerwa Maliki both netted one each.

Namagabi SS’ other game was 3-0 and the win came over Namagabi High School. Wasswa Hassan bagged a brace and Francis Ssembatya registered his name on the scoresheet. 

Other game was between Namagabi High School and Uganda Martyrs Secondary School Kayunga which saw the sides play to a one all draw.

In other inter zone, Kayunga B zone which has Ndeeba SS and Kayunga Light College and will travel to Kangulumira to face off with new Boys Oxford High School from Kangulumira and St Pontiano Ngondwe SS Kangulumira.

Other Inter zone games that is Kitimbwa-Bbaale zone and Busaana Zone will not be played on Sunday due to some cases which were filled.
