National Rally: Speaker of Parliament Promises to Support Eastern Motor Club in Preparation for Bukedea Rally

The Speaker of Parliament and the elected Women MP of Bukedea Constituency, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among promised to give support to the Eastern Motor Club that is in search for finances to stage a good show in Bukedea National Rally which is due this month.

When the Eastern Motor Club President, Kees Kagolo and his team met with the  Right Honorable Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among, She confirmed that since the event is in Bukedea constituency where she is a leader, she is ready to join hands with the Eastern motor club to make sure that the rally ends in joys.

The Eastern Motor Club is mandated by the Federation of Motorsports Uganda FMU to organize the second event of the national championship on the 2023 calendar.

Eastern Motor Club is not only based in Jinja or Busoga subregion but it takes the entire eastern region. But previously they have been organizing events in Busoga region, but this time around, they chose to go a little bit far in the east to give opportunity to people of Bukedea to watch rallies .

The president Eastern motor club Mr Kees Kagolo said

“Basically, organizing a single rally is a challenge in terms of finance because it takes a lot, only one event can take 100m shillings. But we have an opportunity to work with the speaker of parliament Right Honourable Anita Annet Among that this time round. You know all of you are that she’s sports lady. “

In this event, they expect over 45 drivers. Rally is one of the best local tourism sports ventures in Uganda. When the rally go to such areas , along with many fans from different parts of the country and nearby countries, it increases the people’s income in Bukedea.” President explained.

The president also added that “When we approached to Right Honourable speaker to take the rally in Bukedea she was okay with it and the rally was embraced to her constituency “.
