Quarter finals of Mukono District qualifiers of Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association in Boys Football ended with a bang as defending champions, Mukono Kings High School finished third in Group B. The result now means Mukono District will have a new champion this year.
Mukono King’s High School suffered a 2-1 loss to Central College Kabimbiri in their opening game. Isa Lumunye and Kevin Anyesiga scored for Central College while Miiro pulled one from behind for Kings.

In their second group game, Mukono Kings played a goalless draw with Kasawo Secondary School.
In their last group game, Mukono Kings thrashed Mt. St. Henry’s Secondary School by 4-1 Scoreline. David Kyobe scored for Mt. St. Henry’s while Kings scored through Douglas Enzama, Malick Makumbi, and a brace from Diriisa Wasswa.

In other group games, Kasawo SS started with a 2-1 win over Mt. St. Henry’s. Nelson Ogugui netted the lone goal for Henry’s while Anuari Mawa and Trevor Ssempala scored for Kasawo SS.
Central College Kabimbiri defeated youthful Mt. St. Henry’s Secondary School by 3-0. Kaaya Jamalu netted a brace while Muswa Benjamin sealed the victor.
In the last group B game, Central College Kabimbiri played to a barren draw, and the results meant Central College topped the group with seven (7) points followed by Kasawo Secondary School with Five (5) points, Mukono Kings with Four points and Mt. St. Henry’s with no point.

In group A games played at Nakanyonyi Church of Uganda, Latifah defeated Of Yale Secondary School by 1-0 scoreline courtesy of Aslam Ssebufu Kasajja penalty kick in the last minutes.
In the second game, Dynamic Secondary School defeated St John`s Secondary School Kauga by 2-1 scoreline. Adiiri Mpiima and Muhammad Sseruyange scored the two goals for Dynamic SS while the lone goal for St Johns was scored by Joram Anyinjukire.
Latifah Mixed Secondary School last two games saw them register other slim victories of 1-0 scoreline against St Johns SS Kauga and Dynamic SS scored by Idi Mubiru and Aslam Ssebufu Kasajja respectively.
St Johns Secondary School defeated Of Yale Secondary School by 2-1 score line. Calvin Joroba and Joram Anuujikira scored for St Johns while the lone goal for Of Yale SS was scored by Emmanuel Basika.

Only one encounter in the group (A) ended goalless and that was between Dynamic SS up against Of Yale Secondary School.
The results meant that Central College Kabimbiri and Kasawo Secondary School progressed from Group B while Latifah Mixed Secondary School and Dynamic SS advance to Mukono District Boys Football semi finals.
To date, Latifah Mixed Secondary School who are yet to concede a goal in their net and Central College Kabimbiri are the only two sides yet to lose a single match in Mukono District Boys football qualifiers.
Mukono District Semi Finals will be played on Wednesday 5th, April 2023 at Uganda Christian University where Latifah Mixed Secondary School will face Kasawo Secondary School while Dynamic SS battle Central College Kabimbiri.
