On the afternoon of Saturday 27th, November 2021, Lyantonde based Ssaza, Kabula Football team will be playing their last game in this years Buganda Masaza Cup which are being played at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru and this will be against the 2008 champions, Kyadondo.

Unlike other teams with hope of making it to quarter finals of the 2021 Masaza Cup edition, Kabula will be playing according to football rules which mandates every team to complete all the games in an organized competition.

Kabula are playing against the 2008 Champions Kyadondo today at Njeru Technical Center, the side with high hopes to make it to quarter finals

But Mbazira Fred, the Kabula Sazza tactician vowed that his side will put resistance because they have been improving game by game.

“We have played three games even though results have not been on our side but the team is showing improvement in every game we play.” He said “The point we earned against Ssingo brought confidence in our camp and now the next step is getting three points“. Mbazira added

“Now that we have one game to this years tournament, we will not be an easy side and what our fans should expect is the resistance and fighting spirit” He added

“The turf where the games are played is far different from our usual playing surface and this has really affected our performance because most of my players have never played on such a surface before”.

How Kabula is Improving game by game.

Their first game in this years edition was played on Sunday 21st, November at 4PM and they lost to 2011 champions, Buluuli by 5-2. Martin Sseguya netted a brace but the goals came late in the 81st and 90+3 minute. John Paul Ndembe (5th & 8th), Ibrahim Ssekyanzi (11th & 63rd) and Johnson Ssenyonga scored for Buluuli

In their second game played on Monday 22nd, Kabula lost to Buganda Masaza Cup all time winners, Gomba (2004, 2009, 2014, 2017 & 2020) by 3-1 score line. Rashid Mutebi scored their (Kabula) lone goal in 88th minute while Daniel Nyanzi (17th), Brian Aniku (54th) and Abasi Kyeyune Diaz (60) scored for Gomba.

On Thursday 25th, Kabula earned their maiden point in this years Masaza Cup and this was against 2015 & 2018 winners, Ssingo in an encounter which ended in a two all draw (2-2). Valentino Odoi registered a brace on his name to earn his side a point while Bright Adoa and Joseph Ssewali scored for Ssingo

Meanwhile, in other encounter, Buluuli will battle Ssingo earlier on at 12PM
