Stanbic Uganda Cup: December Set for Preliminary Round Action for Northern Region
Northern Region Football Association did conduct draws for Stanbic Uganda Cup Preliminary Round on, Monday 28th November, 2022 at the NRFA offices, Muntu Investment Building – Lira City.
40 clubs will participate from the Region (Lango and Acholi Sub Regions), 22 Northern Regional clubs and the 18 clubs are from the lower division leagues and non league teams.
Two (2) different groups shall be used; Lango Sub Region group and Acholi Sub Regions group. 2 teams/clubs from each group will qualify to the Round of 64 that encompasses all the qualified teams in Uganda.
These clubs will compete at different groups in the region and they are set to kick off in December between 3rd and 4th.
The chairman Apio Moses thanked the sponsors; STANBIC UGANDA for the grass root football support.
He also revealed that the final of 2022/23 will be played at Akii-Bua Stadium, Lira City.
