USSSA Preliminaries: Jinja District Secondary Schools Post Primary Qualifiers Kick off Next Week

All is set and ready for this year’s edition of the Jinja secondary schools football competition with screening scheduled for Friday 10th and Saturday 11th March 2023.

According to Jinja secondary schools games and sports association assistant general secretary Olikumanya John Bosco the screening will be held in four different venues.

“Screening will take place at four venues, that is Jinja SS, Buwenge TC seed school, Holy Cross Lakeview and St Steven SS Budondo starting at 8:00am to 5:00pm for the two days” Olikumanya John Bosco 

“This year’s competition is will kick off on 15th march in three different venues namely; Kakira -line kubwa, Jinja college and Jinja SS. After the group stages, we shall use Kyabazinga stadium Bugembe and Kakindu for the knock out stages.” He added

Jinja SS are last edition’s champions having overcame their arch rivals Jinja Progressive Academy on penalties after a goalless draw in normal time.

In this year’s edition, 56 schools confirmed their participation in boys Football and they were pitted in eight groups of seven. 

Girls Football has attracted 40 schools and they were pitted in eight groups of five and the
