Netball: Four She Cranes Stars Off to Malaysia for Professional Test

Following the amazing performance displayed by Uganda’s National netball team, the She Cranes in the 2023 Netball World Cup in in Cape Town South Africa, it’s stars have started getting professional gigs.

Defender who doubles as a shooter, Haniisha Muhameed was the first to seal her move to Vitality Netball Super league Club, Storm Surrey and she will feature for them in the 2023/24 season.

The other crop of four players have traveled to Malaysia for the professional tests in the Malaysian Netball Super League.

The four who had got invitation from the League’s reigning champion KL Wildcats Netball Club and Perak Phoenix Netball Club are; KCCA’s defender, Shaffie Nalwanja, three time best player of the match winner in world Cup, Shadia Nassanga, Kadondi Falidah from Weyonje Netball Club and Prisons Netball Club shooter, Christine Namulumba Kango.

According to invitation letter, this website has a copy, the two clubs wrote to Uganda Netball Federation requesting for the four players to take part in their netball program that will run from 30th September 2023 to 15th November 2023.

The inside sources from the also tell that the four have a potential of having full professional contracts with the sides if person terms and agreement favor both parties.

Malaysia Netball Federation started their professional league in 2020, it has eight clubs and KL Wildcats Netball Club is the Inaugural winners of the league.
