The school started composing songs under the song writer Paul Ssaka in 1999.
The song that brought Buddo on the map by then was called “Nabagereka” in 1999 ,the reason as to why that song was composed it was because the Kabaka of Buganda His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi ll was wedding Nabagereka Sylvia Najinda in 2000 therefore, schools like Buddo SS had to have a song like “Nabagereka song”.
“Today is a great day, Buddo celebrating 25 years of promoting talents in music as the new curriculum indicates”
” Music perishes but Buddo music is ever green because we produce quality, educative music, inspirational music” says HEADTEACHER MUWONGE Lawrence.

“We have achieved a lot through our music in Uganda and the entire community of East Africa because we won medals within Uganda and out side Uganda and we have got visibility and our identity now is self explanatory to the entire Uganda.” He added
The song writer Paul Ssaka has also expressed some of challenges in 25 years.
“It was God’s mercy that Buddo SSS is among the leading schools in performing arts in Uganda but it was due to Love, consistency and also collective efforts between the teachers, administration, parents and also the students “
Since 1999 Buddo SSS has over 300 songs but on that live concert also it will be the launch of new song called Tulumbe song
Through talents Buddo has presented a good gesture to all schools in Uganda.
