Fresh Dairy Games 2024: St Noa, Kawempe, Amus start on a high

The 2024 Fresh Dairy Games 2024 kicks off with a number of matches in girls football.
The powerhouse schools in Girls football started on a high with each scoring over four goals in the opener at different grounds in Luweero.
St Noa Girls school thumped, Kangole Girls SS from Karamoja 7-0 in the fixture honored at Ndejje University grounds.

Speed merchant, Sylvia Kabene was on hat-trick, Kamiyat Naigaga was on a brace while Ayuvi Mary and Evelyn Katusiime also appeared on the score sheet for Noa to start the title chase on a bright note.
The other title contender, Kawempe Muslim SS smashed St Mary’s Magdalene from Lango region 5-0. Agnes Nabukenya is another player on the opener day who has scored a hat-trick, Babirye Hadija and Shadia Nabirye also scored for the 2019 champions.

The defending champions Amus College had the highest scoring rate on day one, they thumped Hope SS Bbira 9-1 while Rines SS beat Jinja SS 4-0 and Uganda Martyrs High School humbled Latifah Mixed from Mukono.
The other high scoring game was between Boni Concil Girls Vocational School and Moroto School, the former beat the latter 9-0. Sheema Girls also whitewashed Labira Girls SS.
Newcomers Bukedea comprehensive also had a hard-fought 1-0 win against Shuuku Vocational School.

On day one, 24 fixtures were honored on different groups among; Ndejje SS (the hosts) ground, Ndejje University, Bombo UMEA, Kawagala, Nandere, Kakute and Namayamba and Janan SS.
The games resumes tomorrow with a number of fixtures.
The group stage games will be played until Tuesday next week before knockout action commences.
