Pilsner Monthly Awards: URA Duo The Best of Jan/Feb

Uganda Revenue Authority FC duo in head coach, Sam Timbe and Steven Desse Mukwala crowned the best of the month of January/February as coach and player respectively. 

Sam Timbe was in contest with Vipers SC tactician Roberto Oliveira and Morley Byekwaso of KCCA FC.

In six/seven games played between the month of January and February, URA managed to win five out of seven, drew one and lost one, which made Timbe to beat Oliveira of Vipers who collected three wins, two draws and a loss and Morley Byekwaso of KCCA, whose side managed three wins, two draws and a loss. 

“We people in the game we get proud, I am glad that we are sixteen but came out as a winner.” Sam Timbe.

Mukwala Steven was in close contest with his teammate, Vianney Ssekajugo and Vipers SC goal poacher Ceaser Loki Manzoki.

Desse scored six goals, made one assist and two man of the match accolade twice in seven games which made him beat his teammate, Vianney Ssekajugo who scored five and made one assist while Ceaser Loki Manzoki scored three, and made two assists in six Matches.

“It motivated me to continue work hard and to try achieve my target, I thank fellow players because I didn’t make it alone.”Steven Desse Mukwala.

In January we had two match days, there were games that were rescheduled, in February, we had three match days, and the four rescheduled fixtures. ” Paul Kabaikabalamu, Uganda Premier League manager said why they considered two months in one. 

Each winner walked away with a prize money of one million shillings courtesy of Pilsner Lager.
