Helping Ugandans in Fishing sector to start enjoying and always have an upper hand in accumulating wealth in their own Country not Soldiers and Investors to be the beneficiaries.

Helping Minister Fisheries from not being a class Monitor. as per the new regulations, Government had ordered sector’s Ministry to first consult Minister of Defense while making decisions and always appoint “Saabbavvubi” who is a trained Soldier.

Informing the Government that Fishermen should not be overtaxed but they also deserve to be assisted. In this Financial Year, Fishing sector was not accorded any support but instead they want to get money from the sector and the only to Farming and Fishing have been put into NAADS and Operation Wealth Creation which is not direct.

Helping Fishermen on overtaxing, as per the principles of taxation, tax must be realistic, understandable and affordable. The tax imposed on Nile Perch Maw (“Ennuuni“) is not understandable and Tebandeke will have to work tirelessly to see that the issue is sorted.

Rejuvenating Subsistence Fishing, the size of the Boat used has affected Ugandan where they decided that 28 feet Boat must be used. Technically that size of boat is too big to be used and this shows that they are aiming the eradication of Subsistence Fishing favoring Commercialized Fishing.

Fronting a motion on flow of Parliament on what should be done on Lakes, many investors have turned Lakes into Sand mines which destroys Breeding places and also increasing contamination of the Lake ( Water Pollution) affecting Fish metabolism which in turn affect Fish multiplication such place include Lweera which have been used as Harbors.

Fish Market should not only be owned by Soldiers and Investors, Market is always number one in every sector, so we want to see that Ugandans benefit
