What Really Happened At The Scene When Gen. Katumba Being Shot At

Former Works and Transport Minister General Katumba Wamala plus  and driver have been shot at in Kisota.

The driver and general’s daughter Brenda Nantongo have been confirmed dead, General Katumba Wamala alongside his body guard were rushed to Malcom hospital for treatment.

According to the eye witnesses, men on two motorcycles, Bajaj Boxer and TVs Star whose number plates were covered by polithen bags ,each caring one passenger shot at the general’s car with over eight bullets which killed two people in the car including general’s daughter and injured Katumba Wamala.

It’s alleged that the killers followed General Katumba from Kisasi where he bought news papers untill Kisota road. When they passed Acons International School, they stopped the motorcycles and started shooting at the general’s car, they shot the driver and the daughter immediately, the body guard jumped out of the car , and took away Gen. Katumba out of the car while shooting back at the killers and in the incident the bullet caught the General in the chest but the body guard managed to save general’s life and pushed him under the car.This was narrated by the eye witness.

According to another eye witness also the killers shot two people, the bodaboda rider and the man who repairs batteries alongside Kisota road and they were left with wounds.

It’s alleged that a bodaboda rider who came first at the seen picked Gen. Katumba who was kept under the car and the bodyguard and rushed them to Malcom Hospital for the treatment.
