Kitara Football Club still on top of the table of FUFA Big league despite having a unwanted draw against relegation battling Ndejje University in the game honored on Thursday at Vision of Arena in Luweero.

The two sides shared points following a two all draw at Vision of Arena.

Having led the game for 87 minutes ,the Kitara based side relaxed,thinking that they had snatched the maximum points against the University boys, however the home side used their last chance of the day well to pick a point against the top giants of the league.

It was Brian Obedi who sacrificed his time to secure a point for the struggling Ndejje hence cancelling Edison Agondeze’s goal which had put the visitors in the lead .

Moses Sseruyidde once again had put the visitors in lead as early as 3 minutes but Norman Ndyamuhaki restored the hope for the hosts when he got an equalizer for the home side.

Besides dropping two points away from home,the Kinyara sponsored side remained on top of the table with 47 points after the rivals Mbarara City suffering an away defeat against Kyentume FC.

Kitara will host Mbarara city in their next game at their home in Kigaaya grounds in Hoima next Thursday.

Else where ,Police football club returned to winning ways as the side demolished Luweero United by 5-2 thanks to goals from Jackson Ssemugabi,Mugume Emmanuel,Herman Wasswa,Denis Kalanzi and Daniel Jakony.

The win took the Cops to 43 points ,one below NEC football club who are in the third place on the log.

NEC also returned to winning ways after recording a 3-1 victory at home against Karo Karungi, NEC moved to 44 points in 24 games.
