Capacity Building: Masaza Cup Organizing Committee Members Graduate In Football Administration and Management
Festus Kirumira, the Vice Chairman Technical and Saddam Ssebuyiira, the secretary on Njeru camp committee were among the Twenty Seven (27) graduates who bagged home FAMACO I certificate
With the aim of professionalizing the game of Football in Buganda Kingdom, two of the Masaza Cup organizing committee officials graduated in Football Administration and Management with level one certificate.
Festus Kirumira, the Vice Chairman Technical and Saddam Ssebuyira, the secretary on Njeru camp committee were among the Twenty Seven (27) graduates who bagged home FAMACO I certificate.
The course which was organized by FUFA capacity building Partners, Tangosport Uganda Limited started on Monday 13th and climaxed on Wednesday 15th, December 2021 at Jinja Senior Secondary school, in Jinja City.
“Today we have finish football Administration and Management course which we think it has added value to us.”. Stated Festus Kirumira, Vice Chairman Buganda Masaza Cup organizing committee.
“In this course we have been empowered to see that we lead the game (football) well in administration and management because all what they taught us adds value to the game. I call upon all other football administrators and managers to go and attend such courses whenever they hear such opportunities”
“My sincere thanks goes to Tangosport Uganda, FUFA for organizing such courses and Buganda Kingdom for giving us opportunity to lead in organizing the game of football”. Added Festus.
In 2021, this was the only capacity building course for football Administrators and Managers dues to COVID-19 but Tangosport through the General Manager Faizo Kato vowed to stage more of such courses next year because People out there do need them.
“The course has ended successfully because we got the number which we targeted and as the organizers, we are happy to have the course end well. We are looking forward to organizing many courses next year when the Country turns to normal”. Said Faizo Kato
The course was guided by Uganda Beach Soccer Association Chairman, Deo Mutabazi who took participants through Football as a sport, business, the Administrative part of it,
“I thank Tangosport Uganda for organizing these capacity building courses because their (Tangosport Uganda) program follows directly in the Vision of FUFA of training the competent human resource to manage the game of football”.
“Football today requires competent People to manage it as a business because it is no longer a leisure sport but a business so to run it, you need competent People in different spheres of the sector”
“We have trained football administrators today who can be able to understand key issues with in the football management and administration as well as handling issues to do with finance management”
These people are now certified administrators who can ably work in any football club at all levels”. Added Mutabazi
