U20 FIFA Women World Cup Qualifiers: Kawempe’s Adong Meble, Nambuya Among the 32-Player Queen Cranes Summoned Squad for Namibia Double Header

Uganda U20 Women’s national team, the Queen Cranes, head coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes has officially summoned 32 players in preparation for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
To reach at the decision, the technical team under Botes first had trial sessions at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru – Buikwe District where they checked the abilities of a number of players from different corners of the country.
According to a document released by FUFA on Tuesday morning, September 9, 2025, the squad is set to face Namibia in a two-legged encounter on September 19 and September 22.
The team comprises of six goalkeepers, ten defenders, twelve midfielders, and four strikers. They are expected to enter residential camp on Wednesday, September 10, at Paradise Hotel in Kisasi.
The 2024 USSSA girls football champions and women football powerhouse in Uganda, Kawempe Muslim SS has six representatives, in Agnes Nabukenya, Monica Nanono, Esther Nangendo, Dorcus Kisakye, goalkeeper, Josephine Nambuya and versatile player, Adong Meble Mukula.
Following the recent struggles of the senior women’s side and the U17 team, Coach Ulanda is determined to lift the spirits of Ugandan women’s football supporters by guiding her side to a successful campaign.
The winner over the two legs will progress to the next stage of the competition.
