Fortebet Real Stars Monthly Awards: Former Mukwenda Wins Platinum Award as Caporodossi, Masaba Take June Accolades

Fortebet Uganda in Conjunction with Jude Color Solutions and Real stars sports agency have returned the Platinum Award this year and Former Mukwenda of Ssingo, Godfrey Mbalire walked home with it.
This award specifically goes to the individuals who have serviced the sports industry and this is the first time this year to be dished away.
The former Kabaka Chief of Ssazza Ssingo Omwami Godfrey Mbalire was at forefront for the return of Masaza Football Tournament in 2004.
He also served as the Chairman for the organizing Committee of Masaza
He facilitated the construction of Mityana Ssaza grounds.
Helped Ssingo clinch their first Masaza Cup title in 2015 at Namboole.
He continues to support Ssaza Ssingo and Buddu in terms of Finance.
“We decided to go with Former Mukwenda (Ssingo Sazza former chief) to acknowledge him as one of the pillars that have lifted Masaza Cup to the greater heights, he started as a treasurer for Ssingo, then he was appointed by Ssabasajja to be the Mukwenda of Ssingo, he is the first chief to construction their own stadium, the rest copied from him and others are still renting the playing grounds, so with that background we decided to go with him for the service he rendering to Kingdom of Buganda and sports.” Real Stars Sports Agency CEO Isaac Mukasa commented about the Platinum award given to Owek. The Former Mukwenda who has attended the awarding ceremony held on Tuesday at Lazio Restaurant Kololo in person has thanked the Kabaka for giving him opportunity to serve and even jounrnalists to recognize his work.
“This award is not mine, it’s for His Majesty the Kabaka, of many he saw my potential and gave me the chance to serve and indeed I did so and many players are making money out of the talents we groomed. I continue to thank Kabaka for the exceptional eye he used and initiated the Masaza Cup, I also thank the journalists who recognized my efforts, I really thank you for this.” Said Owek. Besides the platinum award, the four best performers from four sports disciplines also received their accolades.
The winners include; Brian Masaba (cricket), Nyanzi Joshua(boxing), Ellio Caporodossi(Football )and Modesta Anyango (Basketball).
