Hamz Cup Last Eight: Man United Fans UG Land Tororo Boys Test

Man United Fans UG will face Tororo Boys FC in the headline quarterfinal clash of the 2026 Hamz Cup following Monday’s draw.

The highly anticipated fixture, scheduled for October 24 at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo War Memorial, will bring together two sides that have impressed during the tournament.

Man United Fans UG, arguably one of the tournament’s most strongly supported teams, advanced to the last eight after edging Titans FC 1-0. The victory extended their unbeaten run after they topped Group D with 10 points.

The side has scored nine goals and conceded just twice so far, with an exciting squad managed by a committed team led by Bruno Kayongo, popularly known as Kayongo Fashions.

Tororo Boys, meanwhile, topped Group A with 10 points before eliminating Namutamba/Ndaiga FC 1-0 to book their quarterfinal place.

The Eastern Uganda side has been equally impressive defensively, scoring five goals and conceding just once in five matches.

Tororo Boys has also attracted notable support from the Tororo community, with prominent figures, including Speaker of Parliament , among those associated with the team’s support.

On the pitch, Tororo Boys have relied on an energetic pressing approach, led by lanky forward James Kigundu.

The quarterfinals will kick off this Saturday, October 3, when Kafumbe United face NURMAK Life at Hamz Stadium.

Tik Tok FC will take on Best of the Best on October 10, while Block F will face Born Talent FC Mbuya on October 17.

All four quarterfinal matches will be played at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo War Memorial, with the Man United Fans UG-Tororo Boys encounter bringing the quarterfinal stage to a close on October 24.
